Phone Ordering!!! UGH

OMG man. So the other day i was trying to order this product that I have seen on TV. When i saw it i was like ok i might can use that and since they "slashed the price down" i was like it wouldn't be that bad. So i called them up and the first thing that killed me was that it was a got damn recording. I HATE RECORDINGS!! I like to talk to people so they can help me with any problems I might have. So hesitantly i proceeded with the order and after i placed my order then it started. They kept tryin to tag on all this EXTRA shit. (For 20 MORE dollars you can get the deluxe package, where they keep sending you videos EVERY month for another 9 dollars.) I'm like ain't that some shit. Then the bitch just kept on going. All i want Ms Recording lady is what i asked for. Then they tried to throw in some pills, then they even tried to send me to the eye doctor or some shit like that. I'm like are they sellin health insurance on an work out commercial? It was just ridiculous. That bitch had me on the phone for at least 20 minutes listening to her rant and rave about all these damn special offers. I was scared to hang up people cause i didn't want them to tag on anything that i wasn't aware of then i end up paying for shit i didn't want but after 20 minutes i was like fuck this shit. i can't take it anymore. CLICK!! Well not click cause on the cell phone it don't really click so i'll just say SLIDE!! since i have to slide the bar to end a call. lmao. damn cell phones. Can't even hang up dramatically with them. ugh. Well now i have to wait and see what actually comes to my house when this mess comes and figure out what i have to send back. Ordering from your TV is the worse thing ever and thats just Slimm's thoughts.

I VOTED

Ok so today was Election day 08. This day will go down in history everybody. Today as i walked to the old folk home where i go to vote I felt a strong since of pride. Now i've been voting since i turned 18. this was NOT my first time voting but this is the first time i felt so proud of what i was doing. I don't really follow politics so i'm not gonna pretend i do or anything like that. So when i got there and saw the line i was like damn!! i should have brought a snickers cause i'm gonna be here for a while. Then this guy came and passed out a sheet with all the questions on it and asked me what district i was in. I told him district 5 and he was like come on up. So like the rockstar that i am I got moved right on up the line. LMAO when i got my lil card a prepared to vote. I was overwhelmed with joy and excitement as I looked at the top of the list and saw Barack Obama for president. Hello people an African Amercan man could be our next president in the next few hours. This shit is crazy. Excitement is rushin through my body. get excited people get very excited and thats just slimm's thoughts

ps. if i get another damn text message about voting i might shoot somebody. damn!!!!

My Song Of the Moment.

well i'm back. I know i haven't been here for a long time but honestly i just haven't had much to write about so i haven't written. Honestly i've been in a lil mood about some things that have happened in my life so i've just been tryin to deal. No matter what we go through the thing we must learn is that life still goes on and time waits for nobody. You can either deal with it or move on or be left behind stuck thinkin about what could have been. I'm slowly dealing and moving on. lol well on Tuesday morning i purchased John Legends cd off itunes and let me just say that I have been listening to that cd non stop since then. I had a top song which i told a friend of mine that they stole from me but John legend quickly bumped that song out the box. So the song i'm feelin right now is John Legends "EVERYBODY KNOWS" I swear i feel like this song was written just for me. lol The lyrics are very scary to me cause i feel like John knew what i was going through. On another note though the song is just hot ok. the way he sings it. The melody of the song just all works together with his voice and it just takes me to a place of pain and joy that I can't really explain. So if you haven't heard the song ladies and gentleman please go and get this album. Not just for this song cause the entire album is hot but if you ever experienced a love lost this is a good song. These are just SLIMMs thoughts.

Got Till Its Gone

Ok well i know that i haven't posted anything in a long time but i just haven't had anything to really talk about. Well as my title indicates i'm talking about the famous phrase. "You don't know what you got til its gone" also one of my favorite Janet songs. Well everybody i've lost something. but let me just say this. I always knew what i had was special. Just didn't know how special I was. So i pushed that special something away. Not cause i didn't want it but because i was unsure of myself. even though for six years that something has been the only thing i was sure about in the world. I tell you man. life is crazy. So now i'm left with regrets, guilt and sorry. Wishing i could take back all i said or might not have said. Its not a great place to be man. I once told my friend Deonte' that I didn't understand his fascination with the singer Leona Lewis. Well i just want to take this moment to say D. I get it now. I understand.

RENEW YOURSELF

Ok I know that i have been away for a while now. Though when i started this I knew this was not going to be an everyday blog. Plus i've been in a lil slump lately so I just haven't been in the mood and wasn't motivated to write anything. Life is hard people and if you really think about it it is not that long at all. The years tend to fly by so fast. We just have to find a way to enjoy the good times with family and friends. Don't let the stress keep us down and "keep moving forward". I stole the quote from "Meet The Robinsons". lol I love that movie. Anyway I'm sure things will work out for me in the end. Thats pretty much all i had to say for today. Before i go though I was looking for some pictures of David Banner online today since I kinda like him and think he is cute. Ok so yesterday as i was watching what i would like to call my movie of the month which is "Hairspray". If you don't know i just love musicals. I'm so ........

we gonna leave that alone. Anyway. One of my favorite songs in the movie came on which is "Run And Tell That" which is performed by Elijah Kelley's character. Well as i was watchin it made me think about how people always have to run there mouths about stuff. I've come to the conclusion that some people just like to talk and have to talk about any and every lil thing. It could be the most insignificant thing or a super secret that people are gonna run and tell somebody. I also come to realize that this is not a matter of gender either. Guys run there mouths just as much as girls. Sometimes even more. ESPECIALLY the GAYS lol. Some people even try to tell you stuff after you let them know that you don't care to hear what they have to say. Ugh it gets on my nerves. Mainly because I'm not really big on gossip. Yeah true sometimes I like to hear a good story but I don't need to know what Everyone is doing in their damn lives and I'm definitely not one to pass it along to others. Ok so this is my first blog on this here blogspot and let me just say i'm feeling pretty good. Up above is a poem I wrote some years ago. I always like to share that poem becuase it makes me think of a special period in my life. OK its Saturday July 5th and let me just say that my friday was off the hook. Went to Six Flags yesterday and had a great time. I made some new friends and won a stuffed animal, ate some funnel cake and got really wet in the rain. lol GREAT DAY .
